JUSTIN KAUFLIN

Justin,
We were invited to First Night, our friends had heard you and the trio before. We had no clue what we were in for. I'm the one who came up to you and jokingly said that my night was complete...I could go home now. What you do is so obviously a huge gift from God, it is a gift that you can share with all of us out here who love music. Keep doing what you do..you are an inspiration to us .God Bless, Lisa and Jim

Hello! I attended the Dogwood Dell performance the other night and was interested to know the name of the saxophone player. I have the names of, obviously yourself, and the other two members playing. I just wanted his as well.
Also, I was wondering if your work is on any CD's that I might be able to purchase either online or at a music store like Plan 9. I very much enjoyed your playing and thought you were wonderful!
Keep it up and good luck to you in your career!

Everett

Hello Justin,

I'm an intermediate piano player (self learned) with no formal training and I really like to see and hear jazz pianists play.

I saw you play at Virginia beach yesterday, and I have this to say . You are just amazing. Definitely among the best I have ever seen.

Good luck with everything !

A new huge fan,

Jaideep

New restaurant in Suffolk, VA looking for jazz artists to play on Friday nights from 8-11 in our piano bar. Check out our website riverstonechophouse.com to see our restaurant. We are fine dining with a large bar area separate from our dining room. Not a club. We have a Yamaha grand piano in the bar for musicians. I would like to see if you are interested.
Thanks, Teresa

We were so excited that you were playing @ the Boot - last time we heard you was on 21st Street during a WHRO benefit when were in Gov's School! You were AWESOME last night (as were the rest of your trio). Only wish we had been able to stay thru the 10 p.m. set. Where can we find your music? Birdland? Thanks so much for the music!

How wonderful to read that you are doing so well. I cannot believe you are already graduating. Seems like only yesterday you were leaving Salem and giving that wonderful performance to your class. I still have it on tape.
Have a great life, and I can't wait to hear your CD and see you perform again.

Hi Justin,
I came across your website by mistake. What a fortunate event that mistake was! I am a graduate of the Manhattan School and love jazz piano. You are fantastic. I hope to catch you live sometime in the Big Apple. I also will be forwarding your weblink to some friends in Williamsburg. Hope they can catch your act.
Take care, keep up the good work. Have you decided on grad school yet? Have you thought about Manhattan School? Let me know, I am on two boards......
Sincerely yours,

Dear Justin,
You probably dont remember me at all, but I used to live down the street from you when I was younger. I have fond memories of all of us playing in the court and coming over your house befor and after school while your mom would babysit me. My brother Nick and your brother Colin were also great friends. I was thinking about you a while ago and how you were doing so I decided to try and contact you. I always knew that you were going to be something great, your talent and passion for music always inspired me even when i was 8 years old. Now I am 17 and living in a small town in Pennsylvania, but I'll always remember my home and childhood in Virginia Beach. I hope all is well.

Justin- This is Sarah Petersen from YOA. I've been working at The Founders Inn and Spa as the wedding planner and catering manager. I have many many of my brides asking about jazz groups for their receptions and dinners and was wondering if you and your group do those sorts of events. If so, if you don't mind, I would love to start recommending you! If not, thats great and I am very excited on how well you're doing! Warmest Regards, Sarah

January 23, 2007
Hey, Justin! It will be at the Church of the Ascension. (The wedding will be during the 12:15 PM Mass, which of course you are invited to : ) Looking forward to hearing from you soon! God bless! rose

Justin,

This is Greg's dad. I was so glad to hear you were actually going to record with Clark Terry. He's one of my favorite jazz entertainers. I love to hear him tell stories in addition to listening to him play. I have a friend who thinks he's great, always seems to get to talk to him when he goes to NY. Greg knows him, Andy Goldberg from over in Newport News. Kind of an strange guy, but he's very nice and has tried to educate me on the jazz masters, Clark Terry probably being his favorite, although it's probably a toss-up between Clark and Oscar Peterson. Anyway, you're doing great, hope to hear about you more in the future. I know Greg's proud of your accomplishments too and considers you a close friend. Keep up the great work, and let us know who else is going to be on the recording/CD you'll be doing with Mr. Terry. Take care!

October 25, 2006
I brought my family to the Chrysler Museum to see you play.
I hope you are well and getting a good education in life.
Hope to see you soon.

Wow, Justin! Lots has happened since I spoke with you on the phone and asked you to sub for my pianist. I'm sure you're back to Paterson now. I'd say "Hope all is well", but obviously, it is. I knew you'd be big ever since you graced my presence in our old trio. Remember the gigs at Contemporary Arts Center! Congradulations on all of your well-deserved success! You are still one of my musical heroes! Keep it up, dude.
Sincerely, Nick
