Greetings from a gloomy Long Beach, where I’ve settled into my own version of Groundhog’s Day. My Grandma had a favorite saying, when her illness was getting worse and her memory less reliable, which was “Every day is Sunday!” That seems pretty apt for the current situation.
One brighter spot in all this is that I’ve been given a chance to explore all sorts of new creative musical outlets. One of them involves me coming out of my comfort zone (kicking & screaming) to make some YouTube videos. It’s been fun, and I’m grateful to everyone who’s taken the time to check some of them out.
The whole inspiration for me is to simply play whatever I feel like playing at any given moment, no matter the source, and go with it. If you’d like to hang out with me while I visit some of my favorite music, come on by. The list has grown a bit since being quarantined and there's all sorts to check out.
Above all, I sincerely hope you are keeping healthy, safe, and able to find moments of peace during this period. We are all living through a strange time in history, and I can’t help but continue to be grateful for the gift that music is, and continues to be, in my life.
