Greetings!
I sincerely hope you are keeping happy and healthy wherever you might be. The world around us continues to boggle the mind, but we keep moving nonetheless. It’s been a minute, and I thought I'd drop a line to let you know about some of the latest JK happenings.
I’d like to, once again, thank those who have so generously taken part in the Sam First live recording back in September. I’m happy to report that things are moving along nicely, and my first-ever live CD will be available soon. I’ve always felt that the energy created in front of a live audience cannot be matched in the studio, and I feel it has been beautifully captured at Sam First: Justin Kauflin Trio: Live at Sam First.
I’ve been slowly sneaking back out into the world and doing some local performances and short trips on the road, and although things still feel a bit strange, it’s been a real treat to share music with other human beings together in the same room. I’m beyond excited to be heading back to Denmark and The Netherlands next week. I’ll be playing alongside my very good friend and extraordinary bassist, Thomas Fonnesbaek. We’ll finally be celebrating a number of duo and trio releases made a few years back. Making music and traveling with Thomas has always been a highlight for me, so if you are in the area, we’d love to see you. It’s always a blast! You can check the releases out here: Standards, Synesthesia, Sharing. The tour schedule is March 18 to 30, 2022.
Once again I'd like to thank you so much for your support, and I can’t wait to connect once again on the road. All my very best.
Peace,
Justin
