From Eye Surgery to Jazz Nights: Prosthetic Eyes and Gigs in CO, NJ and VA

Boy, oh boy, do I have a lot to share with you! First off, exactly 2 weeks ago, my right eye was removed by the wonderful Dr. William Blaylock (who also removed my left eye 12 years ago). The eye had been giving me some considerable pain over the year, so I finally decided to let it go. I'll be receiving 2 new prosthetic eyes early November, and can't wait to show them off.

And now for the gig stuff.

For my NJ/NY friends, I'm very excited to share that my trio (w/Billy Williams and Chris Smith) will be performing at the Montclair Art Museum as part of an event for The New Jersey Foundation for the Blind. They are a wonderful organization that strives to enhance, broaden and increase independence in the lives of so many people.

The following day, I'm flying out to Colorado to participate in another benefit, for yet another amazing foundation called There With Care. This organization is dedicated to providing services and aid to families with critically-ill children. Their work is extremely important to the community, and I couldn't be more honored to help out. I'll also have the distinct pleasure of accompanying some amazing vocalists and look forward to sharing the experience with you when it's over.

Finally, I return from Colorado to play at my favorite hometown spot! Chris Smith and Billy will rejoin me for a 3-night hit at Havana Nights Jazz. Chris is bringing down his electric bass and we're going to explore some new and exciting music. We'd absolutely love to see you there if you can make it!

Ok, this was a long one. If you made it all the way to the end, I applaud you!

As always, thanks for all your support and I look forward to seeing you very soon,

Peace and Blessings
