Heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for last night's Christmas Hang at the Governor's School! Having the chance to share what has become so important to me was truly a gift, and the warmth and energy in the room was incredible.
Huge appreciation to our amazing performers: Jimmy Masters, Corey Fonville, Thais Salina, Grace Santo, Sasch Burhop, Christian Baumgardner, Jo Tesoro, and Aiden Deir. Jimmy and Corey killed it as usual. Additionally, incorporating a string quartet has been a longtime dream of mine, and they delivered beautifully. And Grace - what a joy to accompany such a phenomenal talent!
One special highlight was watching different generations of GSA musicians come together. Seeing Thais (my current student) and Corey (fellow GSA alum) put down such a heavy groove perfectly captured what makes these concerts so much fun.
Special thanks to Roy Muth for running sound, to Amanda Gates and Joe Bussey for making these events possible, and to my folks for being such champions.
